Books. Holder of words, smasher of bugs, leveler of couches you found on curb sides. Books are versatile things in deed. But did you know that the words contained within books actually join together to form stories?! I know, right?! Well, some of these stories throughout the sands of time have been quite humorous...and the Hodgepodge Society has read all of them!

So why not come on out so we can share with you some of the greatest and most hilarious works of literature with us...the Hodgepodge Society! That's right, come on out and join us for the Hodgepodge Society Presents: Books Can Be Funny Too! As part of the Carnegie Library's Celebrate the Arts reading series, the Hodgepodge Society is proud to share with you the books worth curling up and laughing with. The show takes place in the Quiet Reading Room on the first floor of the main Library...but don't let the name fool you. This show is made for laughing. The show is completely free and, trust us, you'll feel smarter for it.
